My name is Everita, and I’m from Latvia.
My first cruise was my honeymoon — a 17-day transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami. Not the most obvious choice for a first sailing, but it turned out to be the right one. I remember standing on the balcony somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic, no land in any direction, thinking: why did nobody tell me travel could feel like this?
I enjoy both relaxing in the sun and exploring new places properly — and a cruise, I discovered, does both at once. A different port every morning, the ship as your base, and no suitcase to drag between hotels.
Since that first crossing, I’ve sailed the Mediterranean, the Greek Islands twice, and the Mexican Riviera — five cruises in all, on MSC, Princess, and Celestyal. Each trip has taught me something new — about cruise lines, about ports, and about what’s actually worth the money and what isn’t. I’ve also spent time exploring beyond the ship itself: a few days in Athens after a Greek Islands sailing, a road trip through the Southwest USA, a week split between two very different sides of Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Writing in English from Latvia, I share honest reviews, real cost breakdowns, port guides based on personal experience, and practical advice on life aboard a cruise ship, for anyone planning their own trip regardless of where they’re sailing from.
I started writing here because most cruise content online falls into one of two categories: glossy marketing that never mentions a real price, or forum threads scattered across a dozen different pages. I wanted one place with straight answers — what a cabin actually cost us, what a port day actually looked like, what we’d skip if we sailed again.
No sponsored content, no generic guides — just what I’ve actually seen, paid for, and would recommend to a friend. If a ship disappointed us, I say so. If an excursion wasn’t worth the money, I say that too.
